Iridium is pleased to offer rebuilt & upgraded single vanos units for the BMW M50TU & M52 engines. As it is necessary to strip down & modify some of the internal components of the unit to address the cause of the rattling, & to make life easier for you, we have done the hard work for you so you can simple unbolt your unit & refit ours saving you time & effort! |

We fully strip each unit, check it for damage & vapour-blast the casing to restore its original, clean external appearance.
Next, the old piston assembly is dissmantled, checked, cleaned & rebuilt using new viton seals, our custom-manufactured composite piston seal, new thrust bearings & the clearance & pre-load adjusted & set to remove the excessive clearances that lead to the infamous vanos grumble / rattle!
The unit is built up using our Royal Purple® synthetic assembly compound to prevent initial startup wear & to protect the components whist in storage & transit.
The unit is then assembled, checked & tested to ensure correct operation before being packed ready for shipment.
A £100 exchange surcharge applies to each unit & is included in the initial charge. The surcharge is refunded to you when we receive your old unit in a complete & satisafctory condition for refurbishment.
