The E36 BMW M3 vanos unit can fail prematurely due to the inferior standard materials used in the actuating solenoids. Replace these with our uprated Viton™ seals - they can handle twice the temperature & are impervious to the effects of engine oils unlike the standard ones!
Included with each kit is an uprated high-tensile bolt kit to remove the possibility of the bolt heads shearing off resulting in a catastrophic loss of engine oil - another design limitation of the standard set up.

We were the first in the UK to develop & market these upgraded viton seal kits including high-tensile bolts for the vanos fitted to the E36 M3 engine. Often copied but never equalled, these kits remain one of our top selling products with hundreds of satisfied customers worldwide including enthusiasts, professional users & race teams.
Each kit contains:
4 large Viton® solenoid o-rings (2 for the 3.0ltr)
4 small Viton® solenoid o-rings (2 for the 3.0ltr)
1 Viton® inlet camshaft end cover o-ring
1 Viton® exhaust camshaft end cover o-ring (not included
in 3.0ltr version)
2 genuine BMW solenoid cover plate gaskets (1 for the 3.0ltr version)
All required bolts & washers for the solenoid covers and camshaft
end covers, all in high-tensile 12.9 grade BZP.

VANOS REMOVAL & CAM TIMING CHECK / RESET
Got
a lumpy idle? At Iridium we can remove your vanos unit, strip &
clean it, install our uprated Viton® solenoid
seal & bolt kit**, check & reset your cam timing before
re-assembling & refitting the vanos unit. This typically makes
the engine run smoother, restores performance & in the majority
of instances can reduce or even remove the infamous "vanos
grumble".
Included in these works are a full vanos diagnostic health check
& report on our GT1/DIS system, & new uprated viton
seals between the vanos unit & cylinder head.
As an optional service we can also check & adjust your cam shims
(extra charge applies).
